Policies & Procedures


  • CONTRACTS: All sessions, including mini sessions will be required to sign a contract and model release prior to any shoot. Moving forward, I want all my clients to be educated on the services and products they are receiving and their rights and permissions in regards to US Copyright Law. Under no circumstances should work produced by JLauren Photography be used for commercial purposes unless explicitly given permissions and/or agreed upon at the creation of the client’s contract.


  • BE KIND: Shaming, slandering, stealing, lying, manipulating, and excessive negativity in any way, shape, or form will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination of contract without refunding and lifetime ban from all social media pages or groups belonging to JLauren Photography.


  • ADULT/PARENT PRESENCE AND PARTICIPATION: The parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s) of the high school senior shall be in attendance for all communications and events.  Parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s) are encouraged to accompany their child/children; however, are not required.  All boudoir sessions are 21+ and you must be able to provide valid documentation or ID in order to verify date of birth meets age restriction guidelines.


  • RETAINER: A non-refundable retainer of 25% of the total session fee will be due at booking in order to secure your shoot date with the remainder to be paid prior to our session date. In the event of an exception, no products will be delivered until the full session fee is paid and completed. The retainer does count towards the overall total of the session.


  • RESCHEDULING AND LATE ARRIVALS: Clients will be limited to one reschedule. There will be a non-refundable one time fee of $50 for rescheduling sessions after one grace reschedule has been given. As we are moving into colder weather, all outdoor sessions are considered “on” regardless of weather unless the photographer contacts you stating otherwise. In the event that the client wishes to reschedule for an indoor session, a  studio fee of $60 for weekdays or $70 for weekends will apply. If you are later than 15 minutes to a scheduled session, you may be asked to reschedule your session and the standard rescheduling policy applies. This may result in a rescheduling fee if you have already been given a “grace” reschedule. 


  • CANCELLATION: If you wish to cancel your session, no refunds are to be issued. All payments to JLauren Photography are final. Upon canceling, client and photographer will be released of all contract responsibilities and obligations.


  • LOCATION AND TRAVEL:The location of each session is up to the discretion of the photographer and should be coordinated with JLauren Photography at least 24 hours prior to your session. The Client is responsible for all location fees involved such as location access fees, parking, gas or travel reimbursement, and other expenditures directly required for fulfillment of this Agreement.


  • ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS AND RESTRICTIONS:  The Client understands that when sharing photographs taken by JLauren Photography online via personal website, Facebook, Instagram or any other social media platforms that the client will include photo credits and/or tag the Photographer.  The Client agrees that images will not be edited in any way including removing the watermark, cropping the image, adding filters or any other creative alterations unless given permissions or specified otherwise. 



  • COMMUNICATIONS: I will be stepping away from my inboxes from 8PM to 8AM. Your messages will still be received but you may not receive a response for 24-48 hours.
